The Palace has confirmed what keen royal watchers already suspected: Kate and Will's baby is due in July.

"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," a St James's Palace spokesman said.

The news prompted an odd response from bookmakers in the UK, who immediately offered odds of 50/1 that the royal baby would arrive on the same day as Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's bub.

Barely able to contain their excitement, a spokesperson for Ladbrokes told UK media "As the two of the most popular women in the world all eyes are on Kim and Kate until July but we fancy Kate to start pushing first!"

Kate is reported to be feeling much better following her hospitalisation last month due to a bout of acute morning sickness, known as hyperemesis gravidarum.

Rumours circulated that the Duchess was expecting twins following the royal pregnancy revelation last year, however the latest announcement specifies just one baby.

The world learned of the Kimye pregnancy when Kanye West spilled the beans during a concert on Dec. 30 in Atlanta City.

The 35-year-old rapper reportedly asked the crowd “Can we make some noise for my baby momma real quick?” The pregnancy was confirmed on Twitter (where else?!) not long after the gig.
