For the second time, this month, 17-year-old Miley Cyrus, has made headlines. It’s not her musical talents that have made her so popular, rather her wardrobe malfunctions.

First, it was Perez Hilton who felt the heat from the public for publishing the photos of Miley getting out of a car, Britney style. However, after the initial hype, on closer view, Miley was clever enough to leave the house with underwear on. Incident two occurred at the MuchMusic Video awards in Canada. Miley performed ‘Party in the USA’ and ‘I Can’t Be Tamed’. Her outfit choices for both created controversy, however, photo agencies are having to defend their actions for releasing photos of Miley revealing a little more than Janet Jackson did at the SuperBowl.

Celebrity Wardrobe Malfunctions

The 17-year-old almost slipped out of her revealing white costume while performing ‘I Can’t Be Tamed’, in a white bodysuit. International news service Reuters has been forced to defend its decision to distribute a photograph of teen pop starlet Miley Cyrus in a compromising position on stage.

A Reuters spokesperson told Fox News the photograph had "caused concern in the photo department because of Miley's age, but that was weighed against the fact that it occurred on stage in front of hundreds of people and other cameras, as well as the fact that the teen sensation is transitioning away from Hannah Montana and into a more grown-up performer," Fox reported.

Miley has been trying to break out of her Hannah Montana image with her new album and has raised a few eye-brows with her outfit choices and actions. Miley was caught on camera giving a co-star a lap dance after the completion of The Last Song.

The Disney starlet defended herself last week, saying she was "not trying to be slutty" with her new, grown-up image.

"When you're 11, the word you would use to describe someone is definitely not sexy, and as you get older I think you grow into that. And I think I've done that but that's not my schtick," she said.

"I'm really comfortable with my body, I work really hard to be fit and to know that I can wear whatever makes me most comfortable. I feel more comfortable dressing with a little less, which is just how I've always been.

"Now I'm able to do that a little more freely and, also, I've just grown up to be this way too. It's not like this was me five years ago. It's me now, presently."
