It’s been revealed the former Spice Girl is still under contract with Channel Seven and has signed up to return for another season of X Factor. This means Mel will be flying back and forth from LA to Sydney to film the show.
It’s thought the move has something to do with visa issues. Mel has spoken previously about her love for Australia and her desire to become a citizen. She told the Telegraph, "My kids go to school, my husband and I love all the restaurants and we all love the Sydney lifestyle.
"To get citizenship here does take quite a bit of effort with paperwork, all the legal work and getting the birth certificates. But we really want to get residency."
Mel and her husband Stephen have even invested in local businesses including The Island Bar in Sydney.

Nicer to make it hard for her than telling her to f... off! What has she got to offer Australia? Can she even make toast?
ReplyHonestly, its people like the ones below me that makes Australia less than desirable for ANY celebrity or anyone frankly to wish to stay in this otherwise, gorgeous country. This tall poppy syndrome is ridiculous, no wonder even home grown stars rather try their chances at Hollywood and perhaps fail than to stay here and be popular. We should be supporting those who represent our country rather than tear them down.
1 ReplyThe Spice girls were #$%$she cant sing ,so why judge good singers...she could go to Indonesia and get on a boat, that way she gets a house, credit card and residency all thanks to Julia and her corrupt bunch of losers
1 ReplyThere is a God!!!!....Thank goodness for small mercies.
ReplyI can't stand this woman but sadly she will be back for the x-factor, I read in the Sun newspaper in the UK she has turned down an offer to be a judge on the UK version of the show. Bloody hell!
