Paris Hilton has sparked outrage after she announced the opening of her latest store in the Holy Saudi Arabian city of Mecca. The hotel heiress and businesswoman tweeted a photo of the store last Thursday (15.11.12) along with the caption “Loving my beautiful new store that just opened at Mecca Mall in Saudi Arabia!” The store is one of 42 worldwide locations which sell handbags and accessories under the 31-year-old’s own brand.

Others weren’t so negative about the new store. One person said, “Why the attack? This is a global brand found everywhere, whether it was in an Arab country or a European one.”
Moving past the controversial discussions, Paris went on to say, “This is the 5th store in Saudi Arabia, and store number 42 in total! So proud to keep growing my brand!”
PARIS HILTON'S BOYFRIEND ARRESTED IN VEGAS
Since the release of her sex tape, Paris has tried to move on and rebrand herself, but not without obstacles along the way. The party-girl turned businesswoman was charged with DUI in 2006 and arrested for drug possession in August, 2010. Despite her brushes with the law, Paris’ line of products which include handbags, perfumes, accessories, and footwear, earns over $10 million a year in sales. She is estimated to have a net worth of $100 million.

John's comment: "filthy little muslim #$%$ you camel fuckers". I will call it racist. I will also call it ignorant, insensitive, outdated, inflammatory, myopic, pathetic, cruel, devoid of compassion, immoral and utterly senseless. As for people supporting or defending Hilton...someone who has more or less been a pariah in the eyes of so many (and for good reason) where does one start? Sex tape, drug use, promiscuity, vacuity, ignorance, complete lack of intelligence, famous for being famous, privileged, spoiled, entitled...i could go on. The only reason she is an "entrepreneur" (and i use that very lightly) is that she has an entourage of agents, managers and lawyers who are more than able, experienced and willing the exploit her fame for branding and profit. She attaches her name recognition to something and it becomes a brand which...for some Godforsaken reason, some sheep buy. Role model my #$%$ When you find someone of substance, that has provided a genuine contribution to the betterment of art, entertainment, or social issues, you have have found a role model then.
Replyshe can't bring her fortune when she die anyway. so she can spend in whatever and whereever she wants. i can't find any problem with that.
ReplyJust what the world needs. More "handbags, perfumes, accessories, and footwear". What a waste of resources.
ReplyRaceism,a word for people not being abble to tell people there right, and your wrong. An easy word to fulsley accuse someone of hateing people of different colour and creed, because they will not agree or change the way they have been raised,or change there opinions or religious beliefs.Or will not be walked over by opinion or religion, they must mean all people then lol.
