The news of the split between 18-year-old Justin and his girlfriend of almost two years broke on Friday (09.11.12) after a source told E! News the couple had broken up a week ago. The source added, "Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship."

Another source told People.com, "With them being apart so much it got complicated. She had some trust issues. It's not easy, but the relationship needed to end."

The "trust issues" referred to may have something to do with a certain Hungarian model named Barbara Palvin. The 19-year-old model walked the runway at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Thursday (08.11.12) where Justin also performed on stage. Backstage after the show, Barbara posted a photo of her and the 'Boyfriend' singer along with the caption, "okay sooo because u guys were askin for it! with @justinbieber ! you were great tonight! (sic)"

Barbara also posed for photos with the Biebs' crew including his manager Scooter Braun and director Alfredo Flores.

JUSTIN BIEBER PULLED OVER BY POLICE

Justin and Barbara must have hit it off, as they were both spotted attending the 'Lion King' Broadway show on Friday night. Perhaps in a bid to fend off the Beliebers who think that she may be the reason behind Justin and Selena's break-up, she wrote on Twitter saying, "hey everyone. please calm down. he is all yours!! :) please :) (sic)"

It seems Barbara has been a long-time fan of Justin Bieber's music. In a Ustream webchat hosted by the model eleven months ago, she offered to sing for her fans, and even belted out a Bieber tune. She also made the comment, "I don't like Selena Gomez by the way."

Hours before the news of their split broke, Selena posted a photo which showed Justin posing and smiling with his friend Lil Twist - and who happens to be cheekily photobombing in the background but Barbara herself. The photo was captioned with a very telling, "......"

Surprisingly, the usually-vocal 'As Long As You Love Me' hit-maker has chosen to keep quiet about the split on his Twitter. Justin is currently on tour to promote his album 'Believe' while Selena is filming a 'Wizards of Waverly Place' reunion movie.
