Natalie Portman attended the Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for L.A. Dance Project on Saturday night (22.09.12) showing off her new blonde locks. The ‘Black Swan’ actress – who wore a white Dior Couture gown and jewellery by Van Cleef & Arpels - posed on the red carpet with Robert Pattinson.

Portman and Pattinson chatted during the event with the actress’ husband Benjamin Millepied. A source told Us Weekly, "They were very friendly. They were laughing aloud and smiling. Rob was having a great time."

Pattinson seemed to be in high spirits as he mingled and posed for photos. The witness added, "At one point he was laughing so hard, he almost spit out his beer!"

Portman’s dramatic change was done by colourist Tracey Cunningham for an upcoming role. She commented, “She needed to make the change for an upcoming movie role, so we achieved a gorgeous, multi-dimensional golden honey blonde.”
