We caught up with Mick after the show and asked him a few more questions, and found out who he would invite to a dinner party.
Michael ‘Mick’ Malthouse is one of Australia’s most well-known AFL player and coach. Finishing up his on-field career in 1982 due to injury, Mick couldn’t leave the sport he loved so much stepping into a coaching role in 1984. After a 28 year career, Mick retired and took the opportunity to spend more time with his family. A proud husband, father and now grandfather to Zac, Holly and Lillia, he is dedicated to saving the environment and enjoying life’s little pleasures.What’s the best thing about downsizing to an apartment?
When you are a busy persona and you no longer have your kids at home and you no longer have time for other things such as gardening It was time to downsize. I loved my garden but it was very time consuming. The apartment is next to the Fitzroy Park and next to botanical gardens, it’s a 10 minute walk to federation square so the location is perfect.What room in the house is your favourite and why?
It’s family and grandchildren friendly.
