Flooring is a key ELEMENT of any decorating scheme, injecting personality into a space and dictating the look of an interior. “All other choices – benchtops, paint and window coverings – hinge on the material and colour of the floor,” says interior designer Renae Barrass of Austin Design. Low maintenance and easy to clean, hard flooring is tough to beat, particularly in a warm climate. It’s a low-allergy alternative to carpet and, with proper care, will stay spick and span long after installation.
