Looking for a novel alternative to a corkboard? A wire tree organiser could be the ideal solution.

This wire organiser is a fun and easy project to make. Once you’ve cut the wire to size you can create your own tree and then have fun filling it with cards, photos, postcards and anything else you fancy.
Gather your supplies19-gauge black craft wire (5m); long-nose pliers; side cutters; 16mm dowel (or a wooden spoon); 25mm dowel (or a broom handle)
STEP 1Use pliers to cut 2 x 60cm lengths of wire. Bring the ends of 1 wire together and twist them 6cm from the top. Press twisted section towards the centre. Repeat for second wire.
STEP 2Insert the small dowel at one end of a wire section and use the pliers to twist towards the middle. Twist in the opposite direction for the other end. Repeat for the second section.
STEP 3Cross over the 2 sections. At the centre, twist the ends together to create the tree’s base.
STEP 4Cut 2 x 42cm, 2 x 40cm, 2 x 38cm, 2 x 36cm and 1 x 60cm lengths of wire. Gather all the wires and place them against the stem of the base. Using the 60cm length of wire, bind all the ends to the stem by twisting tightly.
