Dr Harry's Best Pet Advice

Pet Training Tips
Dr. Harry Says: Many dogs that eat like vacuum cleaners regurgitate their food soon after. What a mess! Slow things down. Feed smaller meals three or four times daily. Make your dog work for their food using a Kong or other food-reward toys. Other solutions include feeding from the holes in a muffin tin, with a small amount in each hole. Or, use a very large bowl like a garbage bin lid and spread food around the edges. You can also buy ‘slow feed bowls’. These are plastic or stainless steel with deep ridges in the bottom, making it possible to get only small amounts at a time. Even a labrador will take up to four times longer to eat a meal, and that’s a real test!
