Iconic brand Victa Lawncare celebrated a major milestone by rolling out their eight millionth lawnmower. Victa employees and associates were invited to the Briggs & Stratton head office, located at Moorebank NSW on Wednesday 28th September to witness the unique one-off design being assembled.
It was only fitting that the eight millionth mower was lovingly assembled with the help of a group of employees intrinsically linked with the brands continuing growth. Employees Alain Lazane and Warren Hoskings have been with Victa for the long haul, overseeing production of notonly the seventh millionth mower but also the six millionth mower, which was produced back in 1997.
Victa's CEO, Thomas Rugg praised the efforts of his tightknit production team, several of whom have traversed different eras of Victa’s 59-year lifecycle.“We are extremely proud to have reached this important milestone of eight million lawnmowers and we have the extended Victa family, as well as the Australian public to thank,” he said
“It’s funny how it all comes around I think, how many times have you seen lawnmower wheels on kids billy carts? It’s an Australian thing to do, and I’d love to know how many Victa mower engines and wheels have been stripped over the years and attached to carts. At eight million mowers, quite a number I imagine,” laughed Peter.
This year, Victa Mowers decided to donate all proceeds to the RSPCA.
