A spirit of experimentation should always rule, and smaller quantities of wine help you try new things. By-the-glass programs sometimes get a bad rap because the markup is high, but they can be a good way to sample individual selections. Half-bottles are rarer, but are also a fun option if you do choose to mix it up a bit.

A really good way to avoid poor quality and overpriced wines is to never buy through grays on line. The quality of many of the wines they offer can be very dubious and they charge $1 a bottle delivery for cases of 12 and $2 per bottle for cases of 6, whether half or full bottles. I have tried them for years and what appears good value mostly disapponts and is overpriced. Never again for me.
Replydrink a few glasses then they all taste the same :)
ReplyI agree.......its "samplings" we are talking about here. Don't commit to a whole damn bottle when its a de facto X-File.
