The dishwasher cycle

Knowing what happens in your dishwasher will help you understand the best way to stack your dirty dishes. When you turn it on, the bottom of the machine fills up with water, which is then heated to up to 80 degrees Celsius. Then the detergent dispenser opens and soapy water is pumped through the spinning spray arms. After about 30 minutes, the soapy water is drained and the process is repeated with clean water to rinse the dishes. Last of all, the heating elements dry the dishes. Ta-da!
