    This sort of stuff is so broad and unuseful. Worse still, they talk about being always happy. Why not spread the message that it is just part of the human condition to be sad sometimes, and that what is more useful is being able to give yourself some self-compasison through these times. That leads to a good life, rather than aiming for a permanent state of happiness.

    I think it was Mark Twain (among others) who said "The best way to make yourself happy is to make someone else happy"
