Further to my original comment........... You forgot to mention bedpans & baby potties. Do you advise them to be rinsed first?

Are people so lazy these days that they would really put that sort of stuff (hairbrushes, pet bowls, toys, gum boots etc) in a dishwasher? why not wash most of those things with hot soapy water in the laundry sink.

Re the video of cleaning cooked-on caramel in the saucepan, once he dissolved it, he then poured it DOWN THE SINK!! So uh, what about when it cools again and helps clog up the drain or the water system?
