Agave (Agave attenuata) -
Tolerant of dry conditions and neglect, agaves are perhaps the hardiest and most reliable of the contemporary landscaping plants. They also create a dramatic focal point. Grow in sun or part shade. They will tolerate most soils as long as they don’t stay wet. Zones: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, less arid areas in 1.
