Bugle flower-
Grown primarily for its striking dark foliage, bugle flower (Ajuga reptans or the native A. australis) also has lovely spikes of blue to purple flowers. Varieties vary in size and leaf colour, so they suit a wide range of gardens. Best in shady spots with reliable moisture. Zones: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
