Wollaton Hall – Nottingham

This stunning country house stands on a small but prominent hill in Woolaton, Nottingham. The house which is now a natural history museum with other museums in the out-buildings was built between 1580 and 1588. With its large central hall surrounded by four high towers, there is a mixture of French, Dutch and Italian influences.
