Be space savvy

Bedrooms rarely come equipped with adequate storage. And without a home for all your items, it’s too easy for your clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery, books and photos to become clutter. But, with a few clever and attractive storage solutions – flat pack, in the main – you can turn chaos into order. Then your sleeping space will become a place in which you can truly relax and unwind.

Decorator’s tips:
- Toss mismatched hangers as irregular shapes take up more space. And, while you may have lots of wire coathangers, they’re tough on clothes, so opt for padded or wooden hangers instead.
- Store your clothes by outfit – a cardigan with matching pants, and so on. Or, sort by colour to find the right piece in a flash.
- Look out for over-the-door shoe and jewellery organisers with pockets. They will help free up valuable wardrobe space.
