Here’s a great way to add warmth and texture to your walls. All you need is a blank artist’s canvas, several different-coloured yarns and a little patience!

Gather your supplies

Stretched and primed artist’s canvas

Acrylic paint and roller (optional)

Yarn in a variety of colours and types

Here's How

Step 1: If you wish, give your canvas 2 coats of paint so your artwork has a background colour, allowing to dry after each coat.
Step 2: Tie a piece of yarn around 1 edge of canvas, positioning knot at back of canvas.
Step 3: Slowly and carefully, wind rest of yarn around canvas, keeping rows close together and changing colours as desired by knotting 1 colour to another at back of canvas. Continue winding until entire canvas is covered. Knot yarn at back to finish.
