Make a fairy garden

Gather your supplies
★ Terracotta plant saucer
★ Artificial flowers and leaves
★ Acrylic craft paint
★ Spray glitter
★ Packet of small pebbles

★ Hot-glue gun

Step 1

To make the garden’s base, give the terracotta saucer 1-2 coats of paint.

Step 2
Once the saucer is dry, bend the stems of artificial flowers at right angles, and attach the ends to the inside of the saucer with hot glue. Bend

2 opposite stems together to form an arch and glue together at the top. Give leaves a coat of spray glitter and add these and other flowers until you are pleased with the result.

Step 3

Pour pebbles into the base to hide the glued stems. Add dolls-house furniture or Disney Fairies merchandise to create a picnic spot for your fairies.

Make a topiary centrepiece

Gather your supplies
★ Styrofoam ball
★ Acrylic craft paint
★ Length of dowel
★ Small metal bucket
★ 1m of 15mm ribbon, green
★ 3m each of 40mm ribbon, in pink and yellow
★ Artificial flowers
★ Hot glue or tacky craft glue

★ Small pebbles

Step 1

Give the foam ball 2 coats of lilac paint (or any colour to blend with flower petals). Wrap dowel with green ribbon, securing each end with glue. Poke dowel into the painted ball and glue to secure. This will form the stem of the topiary.

Step 2

Cover ball with artificial flowers and leaves, gluing in place as you go. Place other end of dowel upright in the bucket and pour pebbles all around so it stands up by itself. Glue 4 lengths of 40mm ribbon where ball meets dowel, and pull ribbons out from the centre.

Make headbands and bracelets

Gather your supplies
★ Headband
★ Hat elastic
★ Beads
★ Artificial flowers
★ Cardboard butterflies

★ Ribbons

Step 1

Glue flowers, leaves and cardboard butterflies onto headband.

Step 2

Thread a length of hat elastic with flower petals, beads and knotted ribbons. Tie elastic in a circle and glue the knot to secure.

Make your own mobiles

Gather your supplies
★ Wire coathanger or ready-made wire heart
★ 15mm ribbon, green
★ Sturdy thread, such as topstitch thread
★ Artificial flowers and leaves
★ Coloured cardboard
★ Silver glitter glue
★ Beads
★ Coloured translucent drinking straws

★ Tacky craft glue

Step 1

Create a heart shape from a wire coathanger. Wrap the wire shape in ribbon, securing the ends with glue.

Step 2

Tie a bead to 1 end of a length of thread, then thread on beads, bits of drinking straw, flower petals and cardboard butterflies decorated with glitter glue. Repeat twice and tie the 3 lengths to the heart. Glue on artificial leaves and butterflies.
