Daffodil Cross-stitch

Design area: approximately 15 x 13cm

You'll need:
25cm square piece of linen 10 (25 fabric threads to the inch)
Anchor stranded embroidery cotton as listed
Tapestry needle

Here's how:
Mark the horizontal and vertical centre lines on the graph and baste the centre lines on the fabric. Start work in the centre. Work the designs in cross-stitch using three strands of embroidery cotton over two threads. When the cross-stitch is finished work the back-stitches using two strands of cotton.


Correction: Please use Anchor thread colour 854 (not 845) where the "square" symbol is indicated and for the backstitching of the stamens.
