If you have a computer, personalising your stationery is just a matter of selecting a font and printing your name and address at the top of the paper.

To take it a step further, use a decorative paper punch to create an attractive cut-out design across the top or bottom edges of the paper.

To accentuate the cut-out, trim 1cm from one long and one short edge of the paper, centre the paper on a contrasting coloured sheet of paper and hold in place with a brass paper stud in each corner.

You'll need
Sheet of A4 size card
Contrasting colour parchment
57mm square of gold card
Paper punch, scalpel, ribbon, glue

Here's how
Cut the A4 card in half and fold one piece in half widthways. Cut a 50mm square from the remaining piece of card. Trim 1cm from one long and one short edge of the parchment and cut in half. Fold one piece in half.

Punch a design in the centre of the 50mm square and glue onto the gold square. Punch a row of cut-outs across the bottom edge of parchment, run a line of glue across the card beneath the fold and glue the parchment inside the card. Glue the gold square to the front of the card. Use a craft scalpel to cut out two small wedges on the fold of the card, cutting through all thicknesses. Thread ribbon through and tie in a bow.
