Gather your supplies
Cleckheaton Country Naturals 8 ply (50g balls) 5 balls of Main Colour (MC) 1806 , 6 balls of 1st Contrast (C1) 1825, 5 balls of 2nd Contrast (C2)1447; Cleckheaton Country 8 ply (50g balls) 6 balls of 3rd Contrast (C3)2266; One pair of 4.00mm knitting needles or the required size to give correct tension; 4.00mm crochet hook; wool needle for sewing in ends.

Tension: This handknit has been designed at a tension of 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.

Strip one
Using 4.00mm needles and MC, cast on 66 sts.
Working in stocking st, cont until work measures 60cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Using C3, cont until work measures 120cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Cast off loosely.

Strip two
Using 4.00mm needles and C2, cast on 66 sts.
Working in stocking st, cont until work measures 60cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Using C1, cont until work measures 120cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Cast off loosely.

Strip three
Using 4.00mm needles and C3, cast on 66 sts.
Working in stocking st, cont until work measures 60cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Using C2, cont until work measures 120cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Cast off loosely.

Strip four
Using 4.00mm needles and C1, cast on 66 sts.
Working in stocking st, cont until work measures 60cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Using MC, cont until work measures 120cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Cast off loosely.

To make up: Using diagram as a guide join all four stripes together. Using 4.50mm crochet hook and C1, work * (1 htr, 3 tr, 1 htr) all in same stitch, rep from * to end around throw edge, inc and dec evenly around corners to keep work flat.
Fasten off. Sew in ends.
