You'll need:
30cm x 30cm tile
1.5m of 20mm x 40mm pine
40cm square of plywood
Acrylic paints
Large square wash brush
Timber decorations
Silk flowers
Small terracotta half pots,
Small block of oasis
Liquid Nails
Jigsaw
Drill with 1/4" bit
50cm coloured rope
Hot-glue gun
Polyfilla
Sandpaper
Whiteboard pen

Here's how:
1. Lay the tile on your piece of plywood and trace around it, then draw another square, 2cm larger, around the first square. Cut out the larger square with a jigsaw.

2. Cut four lengths of pine so they fit around the inner square and overhang the plywood by 2cm. Glue the pine onto the plywood to form a frame, butt-joining the pieces. Fill any gaps between the joints with Polyfilla, leave it to dry and then sand smooth.

3. When the frame is dry, apply Liquid Nails to the plywood inside the frame and press the tile into place, making sure its top is level.

4. Mark the positions for the rope holes on the top edge of the frame, centred and about 15cm apart. Choose a drill bit to match the size of your rope and drill the holes. Thread the rope through the holes from the back of the frame, then make a knot at the front. If you want, secure the knots with hot glue. Use Liquid Nails to glue the decorations to your frame. Fill the terracotta half-pots with oasis, trim the stems of the silk flowers and push into the pot. Leave one empty for pens. Glue the half-pots to the frame.
