Potato stamping
Making prints with cut potatoes is a great way to keep little kids (and big kids) occupied. Transform brown paper into wonderful wrapping paper with simple shapes or decorate this blanket box with an entire landscape.

Quilled native flowers
The art of quilling is often referred to as paper filigree. Capture the beauty of the Australian bush with lovely quilled flower cards.

Lino cuts
Linocut printing is an excellent print making technique for the novice, but even Picasso and Matisse had a go!

Pokerwork
Also called pyrography, this is the art of burning a design into timber or leather. Decorate an old breadboard, rolling pin or wooden spoon to start.

Bangalow vase
Use fallen palm fronds to make a simple rustic vase for a dried flower arrangement.
