This is so simple you can paint up a stack of boxes for jewellery, trinkets, and other odds and ends in an hour. Why not use one to pack a gift? They are great filled with soaps or chocolates, too.

You'll need:

Box
Paint in Matisse Antique Blue and Jo Sonja's Iridescent Blue
Silver spray paint
Paintbrush
Silver-striped organza ribbon or ribbon of your choice
Hot glue gun or PVA glue
Glass bead
Araldite

Step 1
Paint the outside of the box in Antique Blue and leave it to dry. Lightly brush over it with Iridescent Blue. Spray the lid and the inside of the box silver.

Step 2
Wrap the silver-striped organza ribbon tightly around the box and use a hot glue gun or PVA to secure it in place. Use Araldite to attach a glass bead to the centre of the lid. You can also wrap a small piece of chain around the bead, if you like.
