VISITING THE VET

Remember to visit your veterinary clinic regularly for vaccinations, micro-chipping and other valuable advice on how to care for your pet, including the most effective parasite control program.

HERE ARE SOME QUICK TIPS FOR TRAINING YOUR DOG FROM DR HARRY

  • Always remember that with the right positive reinforcement, motivation and persistence, there is a huge range of skills that can be taught.
Spend about 10 minutes every day training your dog and use treats as rewards.
Start with the basics such as 'sit' and 'come' and then progress to the more difficult commands.

AND SOME TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR CAT BEAUTIFULLY GROOMED

Eyes - Use a soft cloth soaked in warm water to wipe away any discharge.

Ears - Check regularly. If the ears have black wax in them consult your veterinarian, as this may indicate the presence of ear mites.

Nails - There are special nail-clippers for claws that get too long. Ask your veterinarian which clippers are suitable and just how short to cut the nails.
