O&M Co-founder: Jose Bryce Smith
It may have been dark and gloomy with storm clouds brooding outside, but you couldn't put a dampener on the launch of Original & Mineral's new Mineral CCT (Clean Colour Technology) Colour Line last Wednesday morning.

A small selection of beauty media guests were welcomed to the 47th floor of Australia Square to enjoy a secluded breakfast with spectacular 360 degree views across Sydney in The Summit's rotating restaurant.

Breakfast at The Summit by Michael Moore
The breakfast, prepared by celebrity chef Michael Moore, was nothing short of an exquisite feast, with mini croissants, bircher muesli with blueberries presented in tall mousse glasses, scrambled egg "boats" and orange/banana/pineapple smoothie "shots" amongst an array of other goodies.
Alan Buki shares with us how to "look a cut above the rest"
Co-founding duo of O&M, husband and wife Alan Buki and Jose Bryce Smith, then took guests through a short presentation that included the humble grassroot beginnings of the brand. Alan Buki suffered from contact dermatitis - a serious problem especially for a hairdresser constantly working with mainstream hair colour. It was this that spurred both Alan and Jose to together create ammonia free hair products in Australia that ultimately formed the idea for O&M.

The breakfast celebrated the launch of their latest venture, the Mineral CCT permanent colour line, which features 99 different shades of colour. While O&M has always differentiated itself from other hair colouring brands through being Ammonia-free, their latest range has also seen the removal of PPD and Resorcinol - a particularly important step for the growing number of clients who are finding themselves allergic to PPD.

O&M's beautifully presented Discovery Kit
To give guests at the breakfast a small peek at what this new range could do, three models walked the length of the room to showcase three completely different looks. Cameron Rains, O&M's Artistic Director and Wayne Lewis, O&M's Colour Technician, both talked us through how each model's look was achieved, from the white-blonde cropped style of the first model, to the fiery-rich-red bouffant waves of the second, and finally the honey-brown luxurious curls of the third.
Guests were also presented with a Discovery Kit by O&M of their own, featuring the new range with shampoo and conditioner, treatment and styling products - definitely one of the most beautifully-presented boxes I've ever seen!
There's always a place for products that are gentler on your hair and head, so make sure you check out O&M for more information on their brand, as well as their latest range.
