What’s the most requested celeb hairstyle in your salon?
Believe it or not the Late Princes Diana is the most requested hairstyle still today. The other most popular would definitely be Posh, and for a while there it was the character Rachael from TV Series Friends.

As the co-founder of O&M, how did you come up with the idea for a new hair product?
I was an apprentice who suffered with sever contact dermatitis and was told by doctors and specialist to give up hairdressing. I loved hairdressing so much, kept working even though my hands were sore etc. I knew I was not the only apprentice in this situation and this drove me to research and produce an Ammonia free hair and colour range that was cleaner and more gentle on skin, scalp and hair.

What makes the range so popular?
The range is designed by hairdressers for hairdressers. It is a professional salon brand that is clean from many harmful chemicals like phthalates, sulfates, parabens, propylene glycol, M.I.T and triciosan. We have kept the range boutique, luxurious and as natural as possible so hairdressers and their clients love it.

Why is ammonia-free hair dye so important?
Ammonia is a chemical used in explosives that dries the hair and skin. Why would you use it if you do not have to? By not using ammonia, we are able to keep hair shinny and lock colour in without fading.

What’s your favourite product from the range?
Frizzy logic makes hair look shinny smooth with no frizz yet it does not weigh hair down at all leaving hair feeling and looking light and oil free. Original Queenie is the newest style product from O&M which creates a strong hold, not wet, sets well, yet allows for brushing out to flexible hold.

You recently launched in the US, how have the O&M products been received?
Our media launch was well received and as a result we have appeared in Two and a Half Men, Modern Family, glossy magazines like marie claire and numerous blogs. Our first distributers launch their products next week in time with out online at our USA store www.originalmineral.com

Any celebrity followers?
Miranda Kerr loves O&M! She wrote that Frizzy Logic and Maintain the Mane are her favourite.

Finally, what’s your quick fix styling tip?
So easy it can be done in a cab on your way out, pull hair back into low side pony, loosely wrap a tie to secure hair. It doesn’t matter if hair falls out, keep it loose with and brush back come the hair in the ponytail to create thickness and volume. Always add spray.
