A few days before his recent victory at the iconic Noosa Triathlon, we caught up with defending men's champion, Courtney Atkinson to ask a couple of quick questions.

Favourite part of triathlon – swim, cycle, run (transition?)

All depends on which is going best

Least favourite?

Normally the ride as it seems to drag on

Best dinner the night before?

Pad Thai

It’s race morning – what do you eat?

Same as always....muesli and maybe some eggs on toast

Number of hours spent training a week (peak)?

20-25hrs + strength, massage etc

Biggest threat on the day?

Blowing myself up going to hard!

Favourite thing about Noosa (as a destination)?

Relaxed small town feel
