In February 2012, Nic Arney and Kristina Stoney will begin a 30,000km ride across 6 continents and 36 countries, as part of their 'World by Cycle' project. But before they set off on their epic 10 month journey, they caught up with Ironman Pete Jacobs for a little bit of inspiration.

Ironman Pete Jacobs Talks Cycling
Triathlon

Pete Jacobs is a professional triathlete whose career stepped up a notch after an impressive second place at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He was only beaten by Australia's Craig Alexander, who pulled out the race of a lifetime to claim his third Ironman World Championship victory.

Pete is determined to claim the top spot at Kona in 2012.

He recently took time out of his demanding training schedule to catch up with Nic and Kristina from World By Cycle in his backyard on Sydney's Northern Beaches. He spoke to them about how he started in triathlon, life as a professional athlete, how he would train for a round-the-world bicycle trip and what he thought about the World By Cycle project.

About World By Cycle
If completed in 10 months, the 30,000km World By Cycle expedition will be the fastest world circumnavigation by a female according to Guinness standards. Along the way, Nic and Kristina will stop to connect with a diversity of people and places, to enrich and inspire the lives of all involved. Follow the adventure from February 2012 via the World By Cycle Facebook page.
