Norwegian Torstein Horgmo created Winter X Games history when he nailed the first triple cork during his final run in the Big Air event.

Horgmo's incredible trick earned him a gold medal, beating runner up Seb Toots by a single point.

Even more amazing is the fact the Horgmo completed the trick with broken ribs, an injury he'd sustained during an earlier crash. Horgmo told ESPN, "It's probably the stupidest thing I've done in my whole life. "It didn't feel right doing it. I don't think the jump was right for that trick"

I know this doesn't seem impressive to some people - but doing a triple spin on anything takes guts ! Imagine if he only got half way on the final loop. Congrats mate !!!!!

meah! i dont know much about snowboarding and its limits. But that really didnt seem that big to me n i find it hard to beleive thats the 1st time someones ever been able to do that. That just looked like the kind of trick that needed big balls not percishion.
