According to a Nashville police affidavit, White was given the opportunity to sign a misdemeanor citation and refused. He is charged with vandalism of $500 or less.
Asked about the early Sunday incident, Lowe's Vanderbilt Hotel manager Tom Negri said on Monday in a statement that the hotel is committed to the safety and confidentiality of its guests.
The statement didn't identify White and referred all questions to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
The 26-year-old American is also a professional snowboarder and one of the most recognisable names in extreme sports.

TMZ reports that White 'trashed his room' at the Vanderbilt Hotel around 2am on Sunday morning. White is then reported to have feld the scene where he was chased sustaining head injuires. It is reported that White smelled heavily of alcohol and was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.

Just days prior White attended a screeing of the New York Cinema Soceity in Tribeca. The celebrity snowboarder also made an appearence at the London Olympics to watch the U.S. swimteam in action.
White is highly regarded as the best snowboarder in the sport notching up gold in the halfpipe at the last two winter games.
