TIP 1. LENS CLOTHS

Make sure you always carry at least one lens cleaning cloth! Rain drops and pow sprays will eventually hit your lens and you want to clean it so the next shot looks as good as the first.

TIP 2: BE PREPARED, CARRY SPARES

Spare batteries and cards: Such a simple thing, but running out of battery and card space happens. It's not a huge expense to get a spare card/battery. You can find generic cheaper brands out there that will last just as long as the name brands.

TIP 3: BE CREATIVE

Creativity is the key! Experiment with exposure-over exposure sunflaring and angles. Lowlight can be your worst enemy or your best friend. So can glare. So find that fine line with touch of over exposure to brighten up your subject without washing out the shot.

TIP 4: LOOK AND LEARN

Inspiration is everywhere. Don't be shy to watch other peoples work and take it on board, or to be too proud and not listen to others input.

TIP 5: HAVE FUN!

Have fun with it. The best days with the best results are when you're having fun with mates.

More from Jeremy: 'When in Whistler' Series

During the off season, many top Australian snowboarders head to one of the biggest and best snow destinations in the world, Whistler Blackcomb, in Canada.

When in Whistler follows several top Australian snowboarders as they journey to the other side of the globe, and rip it up in Whistler. It's a 4 part series, presented by Boardworld and 3CS Outerwear.

The first episode of the series goes straight to Whistler Park, which is built by Charles Beckinsale. Charles is accompanied by fellow Aussie Matt Sedunary and 3CS's very own comrade Mat Galina.
