KERRYN MCCANN: MARATHON

McCann won Gold for Australia in the marathon at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, then a mother to son Benton (pictured). Taking time off in 2003 to give birth to her second child, McCann not only returned to marathon running, but won Gold again at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. While pregnant with her third child, Cooper, McCann was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2007. Sadly, she lost the battle and passed away in December 2008, surrounded by her close family.
