With the popularity of Adventure Racing growing each year, there seems to be an ever increasing number of races to choose from. There are sprint events, long course, over night and multi day classics. They seem to be popping up everywhere and seem to be more and more accessible to weekend racers. I competed in a race years ago up near Omeo in Victoria called the Winter Classic. It was a real effort just to get there - it was a hoot!..unless, like me you were not a natural cross country skier.
