Down in the dumps? Strike a pose to boost your mood.
Sad? Try the camelKneel
with legs hip-distance apart, toes pointing back. Draw your belly in
and drop your tailbone down. Put your hands on your lower back and
squeeze your elbows together. Lift your chest up and lean back, moving
your hands to your heels.
Insecure? Try the warriorThis
takes up space to make you feel bigger. With feet wide apart, extend
arms to the side. Turn your right foot out and left foot forwards. Bend
your left knee 90°. Look over your left arm. Switch legs. Repeat.
Frazzled? Try the squatThis
grounds you and relaxes your back. With palms in prayer pose and feet
wider than hip-width apart, turn your toes out 45 degree and squat.
Lift your chest up as your tailbone drops down.
Bored? Try the down dog
Do
a classic downward dog (above) or a half handstand. Place hands on the
floor about shoulder-width apart, your feet towards a wall. Walk your
right leg up the wall, then the left. Keep your back aligned, legs
parallel to the floor, so your body looks like an inverted "L".
