1500 kilojoule lunches

Mar 10 10:05am

Pack your box without packing on the kilos

It's high noon, and there's about to be a shoot-out. On one side, a ho-hum, good-for-you packed lunch. On the other, somewhat tasty, definitely easy, greasy, Thai takeaway from the foodhall down the street. One way or another, whether it's the boring sanger or the kilojoule-crammed calamity, that bullet's heading your way.

Well, duck. Because we've created six easy, delicious lunches - all weighing in at around 1500 kilojoules. Now you can stop dodging bullets and just enjoy your lunch.

Pitty only one option is suitable for vegans. With environmental issues, health issues and animal cruelty issues so prominent today, is this the best you can come up with?

tamara, maybe not much for vegans due to small number of people who are. The recipes all look great and suit many different food groups. better to comment on wide range of options rather than think the world has to look atre you as a vegan........maybe you need a bowl of the chicken chilli

Tamara, Why not use your imagination. Most of these recipes can be adapted to vegan lifestyles. With the variety of mushrooms available most meat dishes can be substituted.
Are you a full time vegan or do you have some milk, yoguht, cream, eggs or other things in your meals?????

How tragic that such great ideas can be turned into a negative by some selfish person saying that they don't suit her lifestyle. It's not like it was advertised as a vegan recipe ideas page. Get over yourself.

I could complain and say it's a shame there is dairy and meat recipes. I am allergic to diary and am vegetarian by choice. For every bunch of recipes I see if there is one or two I can have/adapt &am glad of a new recipe at all~! I don't expect special adaption and make the best of what I can!
