His professional alias is King Kyle, so all things considered it was little wonder shock jock and Australian Idol judge Kyle Sandilands threw longterm love Tamara Jaber a wedding of royal proportions in Sydney last weekend.

Described by one guest as a "romantic circus", Sandilands's big day featured a celebrity-studded guest list nudging 400, an additional 100 competition winners, and a bridal party of 18 - not to mention the regal entrance the happy couple made into their Doltone House reception on a matching pair of leather thrones.

As one of Jaber's nine bridesmaids, Sandilands's 2Day FM partner Jackie O wowed the crowds in a shell-pink gown, but the dozens of onlookers who lined the steps of Marrickville church St Brigid's were not afforded a glimpse of the bride.

While dressed in a "very blinged-up" flowing gown by Sydney designer Joanne Panzarinoof, Jaber was shielded by dozens of umbrella wielding security guards to protect a magazine deal reportedly worth $200,000.The showbiz pomp and lavish splendour continued at the reception venue, which was fitted out with hundreds of chandeliers, candles and lashings of Barbie pink - Jaber's favourite colour - adorning the room.

Original Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, a guest alongside his wife Jules Egan, performed five of his hit tracks as a surprise for the happy couple but it was the groom who stole the show.

Limelight lover Sandilands hit the stage after dinner, performing a special rendition of the Queen hit Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Star attendees including singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte, actress Holly Brisley, Bert and Patti Newton and Sandilands's Idol colleagues Ian "Dicko" Dickson and Marcia Hines enjoyed the festivities until the early hours of the morning.

"It was a sensational wedding," Brisley told WHO. "I was so glad I was there. Tamara is a fantastic girl and Kyle has always been very supportive of me."
