Hi everyone,

I've struggled this morning.. woke up with a cold so makeup artist, Sonya, had her work cut out to get rid of the Rudolph look around my nose!

She keeps coming in to the set between bulletins to patch up the snoz!

Human Nature are always great to have on.. they're so professional.. in before 6:30 warming up in the studio.. with Mary Wilson from the Supremes today.

A big day for Beretts too.. he's usually sitting next to me at the back of the studio.. checking scripts between sport bulletins and reading through emails.. but today he's in Canberra ready to run the Torch Relay.

Gee Human Nature and Mary have just started and it's an amazing sound inside the studio.. Brownie just emailed to say how much he loved it too.

Bit of controversy today though.. about my beautiful Carla Zampatti jumper.. which Kochie and some viewers seem to think looks like it has a rogue sock attached to it.. or is somehow storing some kind of bandage!

How mean!

This is what I have to put up with!

This morning we had trouble viewing GWN, being in WA. So i turned over to watch Today, how boring. They are so boring, no jokes, nothing about WA news, & they call them selfs a morning show. Maybe they should watch Sunrise & get a few hints. I love your show, keep up the great work.

I have four boys and I have never thought It was ok to let them pee in public. Unless it was a park, building site, bush lands, on on the side of the freeway. Never at the shops or at an outdoor cafe'.

nat nat nat your the bomb, my names nat to :) let me tell you that as much as i love mel and grandad kochie you are the funniest one i think!
I can not start my day with out sunrise its not just a morning news show , its a bit of everything so its not boring. thanx for starting my day with a laugh.

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
