A life for sale

Mar 18 08:08am

Ian Usher and his new wife Laura moved from England to Perth at the end of 2001. They split after 5 years of marriage, and 6 years later he is selling his life in a bid to get rid of all the reminders of her.

Ian's selling his life on ebay from June 22. Included in the sale are:

  • a ready-made life in Perth, Australia - including his house, Mazda car, 140 mph Kawasaki motorcycle, jet-ski, and even access to his friends
  • a set of kite-surfing gear
  • bodyboards
  • a mountain bike
  • a complete sky-diving outfit
  • projector television, DVD player and six-foot screen that can be viewed from the spa in the garden of his open-plan house

And that's not all.

His employer - Jenny Jones Rugs - has offered to give the buyer a trial employment as a rug store assistant.

Ian doesn't know what he'll do when his life has been sold. He likes Australia so he’ll probably stay here but he’s open to all ideas.  He still speaks with his wife. She thinks this idea is insane.

Sounds to me like he has a huge mental problem and not to mention debt!

After watching this guy I thought how lucky is he? having a home, jetski, motorbike... how many people would love to be able to have that stuff?. I only wish I had enough money to afford it. How bout trying a life swap with someone instead? see how lucky you are!!.

I think this guy is brave to take this on, so many of us who are Single or Divorced with no one to share lifes journey with should consider this,if we are bored or tired of the humdrum existance Go for it! health permitting and other responsible decisions ie family etc, You have to have assets!!

Sister_Melly - yes this guy is lucky to have all of these material things, but material things do just bog you down, they don't necessarily increase your enjoyability of life. I went backpacking before and left behind property and possessions and it was so freeing to leave those things behind.

He should of listed it on www.Oztion.com.au as he would of saved a fortune on listing fees. They let you list for free and give you chioces on how you can pay will also cost him alot in Paypal fees as well if ppl pay that way.
