It all started when he saw highlights of the US football games on TV. One team playing in the first game he ever saw was the Green Bay Packers.
He fell in love with Green Bay Packers, a US football team, when he was 12 - and he's wanted to live there ever since. He had it on VHS and watched it over and over ... So to save him recording every game, he decided, over one lunch break, that he would move to Green Bay!
So how did it all happen?
"We sold our house in Sydney and with only a hotel booked we moved to Green Bay in Wisconsin," Wayne tells Sunrise.
"The first six weeks were really hard. Green Bay is a tiny town with mostly dairy land so it was quite removed from our life by the beach in Sydney. Our hotel was in a really desolate area of town too which made things hard. But the first weekend we were there the local paper asked to write a story about us. It ended up making the front page and we were inundated with emails from Green Bay residents wanting to help us out. People offered us places to stay, cars to use and invites over to their houses."
"We were really taken in by the local community."

Organ donation: When our beautiful 17 year old daughter died in '96 we didn't hesitate and her organs helped 6 people. I encourage everyone to do it. Great comfort knowing so many helped. J&M Tasmania
