A budding writer, Adrian Neylan started blogging about his on-the-job adventures six years ago.
He says, "I can come home from work, punch out five hundred words and hit 'publish' - and it's out there for the world to see. It's very rewarding".
Adrian has a small video camera mounted to his dashboard - capturing everything he sees on tape.
He only films passengers when he has their permission - although he also has it as a backup in case anything goes wrong. And he's had his share of back seat drama, from drunken revelers to serious threats to his safety. Luckily, Adrian says he's never been in serious danger.
Some of his scarier encounters go up on his blog.
Adrian tells of one recent passenger who tugged at his heart strings: "There was a character recently who'd just been discharged from a mental health unit."
"He'd been in there I think it was six weeks and not had one visitor, which I just couldn't believe. So we exchanged phone numbers and we meet now on a regular basis for coffee."
"But, you know, for five million people in Sydney there's a lot of people here who not only live alone but are alone."
It's stories like these that make you see why Adrian is proud to do his job.

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
