The actor's latest foray into modeling for Calvin Klein has seen a revival of concerns at  advertising putting unnecessary pressure on girls and women to be thin.

Mendes, for her part, says that looking like this is all part of her job.

"I don’t have a starving body. I have a healthy toned body,” she says. “I don’t think people should criticise my advert. I prepped for it a lot and I think it’s great. It was in the desert and we were all oiled up for it. That’s my job!”

Body image expert Julie Parker says that the man's body in the provocative images are of concern but society fails to take aim at that issue. She also believes celebrities may be driven to eating disorders themselves by such constant criticism.

Do you think Eva Mendes is too thin in these shots, or
is she just a woman who's got it and flaunts it?

If she's maintaining a healthy weight and finding a balance between health and indulgence, then I say good for her.

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
