Are you getting facebook fatigue?

Jun 24 07:50am

One of the biggest groups of internet users to become obsessed with Facebook was Baby Boomers (roughly speaking, those aged in their fifties).

This group is said to be leaving the social networking website in droves, having tired of the time they feel they are spending on it catching up with old friends.

Sunrise has a Facebook page where the biggest group to become a fan is aged 35-44 years old. Those over 44 make up 13%.

Are you getting sick of facebook? If so, why? Tell us below...

Switched.com says that "According to data that Facebook supplies to its advertisers, the 55-to-65-year-old age group's activity has drastically declined over the past couple months (by 651,080, to be exact), making it the only demographic to experience an overall drop in numbers."

However, younger generations are bucking their parents' trend. 18-to-25-year olds are now  spending more time on the site than ever. In the US, nearly 2 million new members have joined up in that age bracket since March!

Hi
I just heard Kochie say that they are just about to change the rules for people in dire debt and that Bankruptcy is not the best option. We are just about to sign the documents to go Bankrupt, can he tell us what ? before we do that could change our minds, it is our last option.
Thanks Anon

Hi,
I only started using Facebook when I became more housebound from a spinal disability. I've gone from feeling alone without joy, to having a multitude of new friends from around the world, spending time laughing. Facebook has enhanced my life.

Hi. Very concerned about the way Politicians are behaving in Parliament over the last week. Terrible conduct .Feel also Opposition is outnumbered when it comes to trying to vote in a division etc. Must be costing Taxpayers a fortune to watch this mud slinging. Gallery listeners also. Ellen Qld

I'm new to computers but recently we've had a few ads coming up from big daddy ads. there is 1 that advertises adult "X" or "R" rated pictures which are really detailed It came up while my 8yr old son was on here. How can i cancel them and who can I complain to about this inapropriate context

banks give out loans to those who cant pay them back and then put up intrest rates to make up for them. This resession was caused by the banks why aren't they made to fix them. As far as I know money doesn't just dissapear into thin air. Is it just numbers on a computer screen made by banks

People are loosing the ability to speak face to face. Social skills are declining because of Internet chats- facebook etc. Young ones don't know how to hold a lengthy conversation anymore. All they can manage are brief spurts of rhetoric- just like face book. Pity really, I feel sorry for them.
