The comparison between this Willy and Harry are thin compared to the similarity of Harry to Timothy Hunter from Neil Gaiman's "Books of Magic" graphic novel series which pre-dates the HP series. Gaiman himself says it is just an accidental use of the same archetype but really...

Oh please. This case is absolutely ridiculous. A 16 page book is trying to stand up to a billion dollar, 2,000 page plus franchise? Willy stands no chance. This man is only going to be humiliated in court.
Big case? More like a big fall.

This is so absured. They have absolutely nothing, wizards traveling on trains and competing in a competition, not exactly once-in-a-lifetime ideas here.JKR's going to win this hands down. And one question to the people sueing her, why didn't this happen when GOF came out in 2000? Why now?

I have studied fantasy narratives at university - I can't understand the case, fantasy is very specific genre. It's not about themes or what happens - its about THINGS - witches, wizards, magic, wands, elves. All fantasy books are linked in some way - even Gaiman has said this - this sounds absurd

does nobody remember that JKR wrote an entire outline for the series before she even wrote them.she wrote the first one as a single mother working a dead end job before she got an agent. the entire series was planned before she even met her agent that's somehow connected to Willy! this is stupid

also that means that she would have planned out the wizard trains and wizard's chess before she met the agent because she wrote the first book before getting an agent...obviously this means that two of the estate's points are void

this is stupid this is like that lady suing molly Cyrus for 8 billion dollars because of a picture people need to get a life like they said harry potter can be compared to lord of the rings and it could be compared to other fantasy books that i have read i hope the courts do the right thing

"Adrian Jacobs died in his sixties in a charity hospital in 1997. He left one son, Jonathan who lives in the USA." Hmm... well if it was an issue why now?? when all the books have been released..if they felt there was plagiarism they would have made this law suit earlier...HP has been out since 1996

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
