In Queensland, Halifax is the cheapest oceanfront suburb, at $200,000 mhp. Other hot spots include Rocky Point, Burnett Heads, Elliot Heads, and Cardwell.

In WA, Withers is the most affordable beachfront location, at $270,000 mhp. Other hot spots include Geraldton, Derby, Sunset Beach and Mandurah.

In NSW, Corindi Beach is the cheapest waterfront location, at $272,500 mhp. Followed by Sandy Beach, Dalmeny, Diamond Beach and Nambucca Heads.

Northern Territory was not included as there were less than five oceanfront locations with statistically reliable data located outside of Darwin City.

By contrast, the most expensive waterfront property can be found in Tamarama, Sydney, where the median house price is $4.4million.
