My son is a day older than Matilda, and we have taken him both in 2007 & 2008. I would recommend trying to find a quiet time to visit Santa and allow Matilda time to touch Santa's hand or knee or beard or Santa's bell. Show you are confident with Santa and put them on Santa's knee backwards.

We are fortunate enough to take our family to Rovaniemi, Finland to see Santa. Imagine how cold it is(-7degs), add a few more wind chill degrees of cold(-30degs), layer us with lots of snow gear and then try and get a good happy photo with Santa! I will post the photo whilst over there. Interesting!

Hi crew, give younger children time to observe. It is appropriate for 8m - 2 1/2years to cry. This is because they experience stranger anxiety. You can help by smiling lots& talking with Santa so chn can see it is OK. They will look to your expression & Santas to feel comfortable. Tania

I've been taking my 11 month old son, khobi, to see santa every couple of days, just to sit and chat with him for a couple of minutes, just so khobi gets use to him, and when he is, we'll get a photo done. Laurie Johnson Ballan Victoria

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
