When my brother was in Vegas he wanted to check out the buffet to make sure it was suitable for his children. He asked the waiter if he could 'take a quick squizz' leading to some confusion!

On a trip to the states Angela my daughter left the cousins in stitches when she described an innapropriately dressed mature lady as mutton dressed up as lamb. We had to translate

Dear Mel and Kochie,

Although this isn't a word, I noticed something interesting this morning when watching Mel. At certain times she curls her lips under and together as does Kim (from "Kath and Kim"). Although Kim also shakes her head at the same time and has a lot more 'attitude'.

A swiss friend asked my husband what's an example of some aussie slang. He said well... you might say 'excuse me sir, how much do you charge for a night at this hotel' An aussie might say HEY COBBER, WHATS THE DAMAGE FOR THE DIGS AT THIS JOINT?

I reckon we should bring back fair dinkum. I don't even know what it means, but my primary school principal used to say it all the time when someone got in trouble. Course' I was exposed to the word a lot and I remember it well :)

I like the term used by Alf on Home and Away. You quite often hear him say, "Stone the flamin' crows!"

This is DEFINITELY one not to lose.
